6th Grade Course Offerings
Dear Fifth Grade Parents,
Congratulations, your child is heading to the Jr. High! Today we met with your child to go over their scheduling options, our role as counselors, and answered many questions the future 6th graders had. Below you will find the core academic classes as well as the two elective options to choose from. At Renton, students have 6 classes per day. Each elective class, except for band, is one trimester. Please discuss the options below with your child. We are excited to be your child’s counselors over the next three years and to make this an easy transition.

Some 7th and 8th grade students will be scheduled in Foundation Math depending on academics. In this case, an elective class will be replaced with Foundation Math.
